Ghostbumps Part Three: Kajang

Well, it was not cancelled after all! A last minute arrangement, after a few people cancelled and sent us all hysterical, we decided to just go for it, with the remaining five people - fitted one car!
Moe, Celine, Moshi, Rhid and Apit were the Ghostbumpers of part three.

It is like each trip beats the previous one. Things are getting better. Or maybe we're just choosing better places?

After a gig at One Cafe, we drove to Kajang and met Mio and had him give us directions to the area where he told us to hang out for the night, near an empty land above the Islam cemetery. Despite the directions, it took us ages and ages to find the goddamn place, so our journal this time covers the whole of our car trip as we searched for the area near the Islam cemetery.

.The search for the spot.

It was definitely a real test for our patience, nerves and enthusiasm. We entered the area (Taman Sri Minang, or whatever it was called) and started looking for the road towards the cemetery. Could not find it.
We hit a lot of dead ends, a lot of uphills and had to detour back to town to fill up the tank when we realized we had very little fuel left. Out, and back in. Got the feeling of being lost many times.

- The first sign was as we hit a dead end and suddenly many dogs barked and wailed at the same time. Could be just coincidence, but it was a sign that somewhere around the area, there was "activity".
- Moshi saw a shadow in a shape of a human not far from the car as we drove past a junction.
- Apit saw beneath the trees a figure crouching down.
- As we drove through a straight road with left and right turnings, Celine thought she saw something on the far end of a left turning as they passed. As they passed a right turning, Moe said out loud "I just saw something at the end of the right turning." Same figure? Hm.
- Everybody had this sickly heavy feeling clogging up the car's atmosphere as we drove around.
- Rhid pointed out that she saw a black figure by the side of the road, near a house.
- As the car drove past a silver gate, Celine noticed that at the far end of the gate, the car's lights did not go through to behind the gate, but sort of reflected against something.
- Moe saw a clear figure of a person behind the sugar canes as we passed by a compound.

We paused at a brightly lit playground to get some fresh air. Headed back into the car. Celine pointed out then that her headache came back every time she went back into the car. Moe pointed out the weird noise that occurred in the engines when everybody got out. Something was wrong in the car.

- Moshi and Celine spotted the same shadow sort of lingering behind a fence, quite high up.
- Celine saw a white-ish figure at a dead-end as we were reversing away to go out. When the car lights hit on it, there was a plain clearing but as the car reversed away, Celine saw the figure.
- Rhid kept feeling nauseated all the way through and noticed several figures here and there.

.Finally... we found it.

Yes. We did. We finally came by the Islam cemetery and the thick atmosphere hit us with a force indescribable. We stopped in front of the gates of the piece of land (similar to the Bukit Tunku thing)

- Moe was reversing towards the gate and told us to look behind. "Just look at the road" he said, but Celine was already looking at the gates. She saw a shadow.
- We turned off the lights of the car and turned on the aircond. Everything was pretty quiet. It was peaceful at first. Then we started seeing things. Feeling things. Moe pointed out the fuel. It was low again. Celine told him to turn off the engine.
- Moe turned it off so quickly the outside silence slapped our ears. It almost hurt. Celine pointed out that we should keep on talking like normal. Moe didn't reply. He was silent for over a minute. Then he let out a gasping cough. Later on, he explained he felt like he was choking.
- This is the spine-chilling part. As Celine saw a shadow 'whoosh' by the left window, a weird "crrrrrrrrr" sound was softly surrounding us. We were all still and it was obvious all of us could hear it. We also heard a creepy drumming from afar. We started talking, panicking a bit, but trying to remain cool when suddenly Moe went "Shh!"
- The "crrrrrr" sound was growing, it was getting louder, and as it got louder Celine felt the space around her tightening and her body going stiff. Her eyes were burning, alike with Moe's and everyone's headache increased. Everyone said "Let's just go now."
- Rhid's warning to tell Moe to drive was the most anxious. As we drove away she told us as the noise got louder, she saw something crawling out from underneath the leaves near the gates. Celine had looked there when the engines had turned off, and saw the shadow she saw previously still there.
-We drove away with an usual weight on the car. It was going way too slow. Moe hit the roof of the car three times. As we drove away from the darkness, the weight lifted.

We sped away and suddenly Moe's arm was itching like mad, and Celine's left eye swelled, her head stung and her eyes felt burnt and heavy. With a few prayers continuously repeated, the swelling decreased and the burning went away too.

We felt so much presence there, we might return there again on a later date. And spend much longer.

Ghostbumps Part Two: Sungei Ujong

A photographical memory is all it takes.
-------------------------------------------

After a few obstacles and minor problems heading our way regarding the plans to Seremban, finally it was only Moe, Celine and Moshi that made it to the Part Two journey of ghostbumping. Arrived at Seremban and decided to have a bit of fun at the fun fair and grab some rootbeer before heading to Sungei Ujong to begin our night.

And here is where it all begins.

.Sungei Ujong.
We arrived at the maze of houses and trees, passed a few cemeteries where we began to feel slightly creeped out. Moe showed Moshi and Celine a few abandoned houses and specific stories that went with it. There were some odd mist lingering on the roads every now and then.

Headed to the main road and made a turn back again

- Moshi was endlessly turning back to look behind the car. He felt like there was something continuously following our car.

- Moe saw a 'thing' cross the road before the car.

- As he did, Celine noticed a strange movement on the electric wires above the car, and exerted a surprised "Wow!". This was her first prickle of fear, for she looked more than once, and it was still there.

- Later on, Celine noticed what looked like a dog sized figure slithering from the road into the reeds at the side. Slithering? Dog? Hmm.

- We had goosebumps at various parts of the ride. And it was undeniable that we had the usual eyetricks that caused us to look at things that appeared like figures standing and watching us.

And here is where things get creepier. Completely paranormal things. We reached another venue, couldn't remember the name, "Teratak" something, near Taman Rashidah Utama, a big house infamous for the most violent stories.

.The big house near TRU.

There was a huge ledge of which we could climb on to look between the body-width sized spaces to view the house.

- Moshi took a look first. He stared for a long time. He kept watching the corridor and the main door, dark as hell and came back telling us he saw something weird moving.

- It was before that Moe returned after staring through the spaces for a while as well. Later on, he told us he felt a huge pressure that seemed to be luring him and pulling him towards the house. This would mean him falling over to reach it. He pulled back, turned around and left.

- This was the scariest climax of the trip. Moe asked Celine if she wanted to look, without explaining then what he had felt. She headed to the same part. As she edged closer, the heavy feeling in her was starting to tense much more and she cautiously grabbed to pull herself up. She looked down, not at the house first, but at the trailing of plants on the ledge. As her glance fell off the ledge into the dark, she saw something below her body, as if crouching behind the ledge. She almost fell backwards but dared herself to not remain her glance there and instead look at the house. Her eye fell on the side window behind the tree. Another shock, in the form of a black figure moving from side to side, hanging out the window. That was all it took for her guts to turn over. In 15 minutes, she was in a petrol station, throwing up.

What else? We headed home straight after.

Don't believe us? Can't blame you if you choose not to.

Ghostbumps Part One: Bukit Tunku

After watching the victory of Germany against Argentina, we (Celine, Moe, Moshi, Mia and Jijol) rushed away from Uptown Damansara towards Bukit Tunku, one of the most haunted places known in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

It was about 20 minutes past midnight, and we felt it was only too early for us to witness anything exciting. But hell, we were wrong.

We stopped at the UIA College for a while to have a smoke and get some air before the long drive through the labyrinth-like hills of Bukit Tunku.

Here is a series of things we saw/felt/witnessed:
  • Jijol saw what was like a hand waving above the fisheye mirrors at a turning, he looked once, twice, thrice. Same thing. When Moshi went to check it out later on, it was just a leaf. Eye trick, psychological tricks? You decide.
We passed lots of abandonned houses, dead-ends, and we arrived at an abandonned piece of land with one single big tree behind the gates. Those naked trees we see in movies. Yeah. We decided to stop there. Saw a space in front of the gates where we could park the car.
  • As we reversed into the space, we heard a huge "KRRRR" under the tire. The car was stuck. We couldn't move. This was very movie-like. Our hearts skipped a beat. Moshi went out and saw we had a long length of wood stuck between the tire and the car. We managed to pull it out after numerous tries. As we drove away later on, we realized the wood was under the drain and there was no possible way it was able to go up and get stuck beneath the car.
  • As we sat on the concrete walls near the gates and tree, as Mia was smoking, she saw a part of the smoke move past her faster than usual.
  • Moe and Celine were sitting at the concrete wall, on the same block. As Celine watched the ground, she saw a shadow moving to and fro, like a small creature flying not too far off the ground. She looked to the sky and searched for where the shadow was coming from. Nothing.
  • Jijol and Moe saw a bulk amongst the tree branches that did not look like it was hanging on any trunks nor trees. "Looked like a head watching us." said Moe later on.
  • When Celine pointed out the weird shadow, Moe said "I know, I had a feeling" and immediately told us to make a move. "I felt like there was something behind me and Celine" he said.
  • As we drove off, Mia saw another leaf moving behind a fisheye mirror, moving unnaturally against the wind. "It looked like someone peeking at us."
This all happened less than an hour. Imagine if we stayed longer. We left with Mia, Celine and Moe having a major headache which lifted instantly when we were out of the place. We also had many eye tricks throughout, where rubbish bins and trees looked like something else.

For a first timer, it was interesting. This is for us to tell, and up to you to believe.
